One of my longtime readers, Kara Leonardo, needs some help from her friends. In February 2012, Kara & her partner Stephanie were in a horrific auto accident. Stephanie was killed; Kara suffered serious injuries and is finally readying for release from rehab. Here’s the problem: Kara wants to stay in Delaware, where she lived with Stephanie, and where she has a network of friends. Without our help, she’ll probably have to return to family in Illinois.
That’s where Kara’s friends come in. Lots of authors have stepped up to offer special prizes for auction, either characters or signed books. I have a couple of titles up for bid: Worth Every Step & The House on Sandstone. If you’re a regular reader, you may already own these books. Here’s a chance to pick up a unique gift for a special friend. I’ll personalize the books however you want and ship them anywhere in the world.

K.G., you are high on my list of heroes. I continue to be amazed and overwhelmed at the support this project is getting from the lesfic community and friends. Roselle is answering emails tonight and she’s already said “oh my word, another one” at least a dozen times, as she receives messages from yet more authors and friends wishing to donate books or merchandise or services to the auction.
