Introducing Glinda

Breaking up is hard to do. I’ve been in love with my website for nearly six years and thought we were building a great life together. But then I started to notice little things. She’d let herself go, not caring anymore that her text wasn’t wrapping, her fonts weren’t formatting, her comments not appearing. She wouldn’t have anything to do with my new friend IE9. Yes, I know IE9 can be a real pain sometimes, but she also cut me off from several of my European friends.

The last straw came when she no longer responded to my touch, telling me that “someone else” had already registered under my name. Someone else …

I was not meant to be alone. It was love at first site (haha) when Elphaba the Web Witch introduced me to this glorious new creature’s features. I fell for her slender profile, her honest and straightforward demeanor, and her uncomplicated approach to life.

A native of WordPress, she goes by the lovely name of Glinda.

Glinda has already demonstrated her devotion. She bears my enduring mark in the tattooed signature above.

That old website? I loved her truly but I’ve moved most of her things into storage for now. Someday my memories will soften and we will be lesbian best friends again, but for now my energy goes to Glinda.

Won’t you please take a moment to get to know her? And drop me a note if you find anything amiss, as she is very eager to please.

  2. This rocks! Very nice makeover, Ms. MacG … hey, missed chatting with you this year in LA … what’s up with that? Though at least nobody tried to throw me in the pool 😉

  3. Makes me miss Southern California. But then, being in Texas, I miss a lotta places.

  4. Love the look of the new site!
IE of any number is rubbish! LOL!

  5. Yay! I’m so glad you’re using wordpress…it will be ridiculously easy for me to follow you now. 🙂

    I love ridiculously easy. *smirk*

  6. Dear KG,

With this click, I thee launch our fourth (!?!) web adventure together. I do so love the simplicity and ease Glinda will bring us (once I got her to stop being such a brat and drop the “Gah”). I’ve always been very attracted to Glinda…er, I mean WordPress.

Here’s to many more blogs and books! I can’t wait for your next!

    Lots of love,
    Elphaba

P.S. I will miss the old site, but memorialized her with the picture above. It’s too bad you cheated on her with Word and IE9.
