I Am Episode 64

I have arrived! After three years of wondering “What do I have to do to get noticed for this Cocktail Hour thingy?”, Andy & The Rev finally came calling last night. We had a great hour-long chat that covered lots of topics — Playing With Fuego, The Shaken Series, Rhapsody, my Xenaverse fanfiction days and even a heads-up on West of Nowhere — and the podcast is now posted as Episode 64. Go have a listen and see how you can win one of two autographed 4-book sets from The Shaken Series.

A very big THANK YOU to those who contributed to Lambda Literary Foundation during our fundraiser over the last few weeks. As promised, I drew some names from the donors who mentioned my upcoming book in the memo line, and they’ll receive an advance copy of West of Nowhere as soon as I get it in my hot little hands. Congratulations to Pam Sloss, JJ Crabb, Anita Peiker & Norma Serrato!

In other news, I’ll be driving into LA next weekend for OUTWRITE!, a celebration of LGBT pioneers in literature, 6 pm Saturday at the West Hollywood Public Library. The lineup includes Katherine V. Forrest, Patricia Nell Warren & Lillian Faderman. Tickets & info available here. Please join me if you’re in the area and we’ll get a gang together for a late dinner afterward.

I have three more weeks here in the CA desert before I head back to the NC mountains for the summer. I need to spend that precious time in a writing blitz on Etched in Shadows, so if you see me hanging out on Facebook, remind me please to get back to work.
